Carbon bearings used for electric water pumps mounted in electrified vehicles (xEVs). They have been developed applying our materials and tribology technologies built to produce cooling water sealing.

These items adopt NOK’s original carbon materials, which exhibit excellent resistance against heat, wear, corrosion, and dry sliding. They contain no hard materials, such as glass fiber, thus reducing wear of shafts and eliminating the need for surface hardening treatment (coating) for shafts. In addition, the high precision finished inner diameter allows for noise and torque reduction, thus enabling less power loss and smaller motor magnets.
